Libra and Snake Medicine

* Hello Favs (squad) *

This is the month of Libra! All my friends who were born under the sun sign Libra I wish you a Happy Birthday! It’s your time!

Actually we are all working with the Libra (sun) energy or as I mentioned in the subject line, “medicine.” I like to use that word because I feel life is a healing journey and each one of us is working with differing “medicines” to heal.

I hope you can open this beautiful image/attachment that I saw on my Instagram feed. The artist is luna.lingua  (Jen Fountain) on Instagram.  I think it works well as a visual representation of the Libra/Snake medicine. Let me give you some insights from my personal journey with this.

Libra: Libra is the 7th astrological sign in the Zodiac. It calls in Autumn with the sun moving into the sign September 22-October 22 at the fall equinox. Most Libras who I know well are working to achieve “balance.” They are not total masters at this, however, who is, right? With Libra medicine we can observe how we work “balance” into ourselves. It may be work vs. play, it may be healthy eating vs. cravings, or it might be a deeper medicine like listening vs. talking. Listening vs. talking requires patience and effort. Which brings me to relationships. Libra governs partnerships, relationships and close associations.

Listening vs. Talking: Perhaps you've got this in check, for some it might be a challenge. For me, this week, this medicine kicked my butt. For the last 8 days I have been learning a new specialized software system. By no means am I a tech person, but I am good at listening, taking notes then applying what I learn. It totally satisfies the kid in me because I like to learn. This week I spent hours training and listening. I also worked with clients, listening during healing sessions, using my clairaudient dial. But when it came to my most personal relationship, I listened to a point, then shut down at the end of the week. I think I “checked out.” I was out of balance and totally reached my max. Hard lessons followed. However, what I gleaned from this was to “pace” myself better and take time to quiet the mind, meditate, get into nature, nurture self in quiet contemplation.

Snakes: I like this visual because it shows the snake in a way that suggests the symbol “infinity,” but not entirely. Snake medicine is about transformation and shedding the past to be reborn with newness, new skin. It is so primal, with its reptile nature. It also reflects life force or usable energy (Kundalini rising). Another symbol using snake intertwining is the Caduceus. We see that symbol used to indicate medical physicians, also healing medicine.  SIDE NOTE: I am living in a home where 6 pythons live. They are not my pets, but their energy is so present in my field. I am very aware of them even though I never see them. I learned last night one got out and was curled up under the bed. The owner “googled” where do snakes go when they escape in your room.  That is how he found it. Thank you google.

Take away for the week ahead: Observe how you might be working with Libra and Snake medicine. See if anything comes up for you. If you want to share your reflections send an email my way. I would love to hear about it.

Blessings and cheers,
